Resident Evil 2 is to be Remade Not Remastered

eaxr7u3ffq9isrr220y8

Capcom stated that Resident Evil 2 is going to be a “from the ground up remake,” not a remaster. This is some pretty exciting news considering all of the remastered video games that come out regularly.

Capcom’s investor report stated RE2 would be remastered, but Stuart Turner, Capcom UK’s senior marketing director, said it was a “mistranslation.”

Capcom originally confirmed the remake is August. Considering that I have only played a little bit of Resident Evil 2, this is pretty exciting knowing that I can experience the entire game in a remastered format.

Platinum Games is Working on a New TMNT Game

tmnt

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan has been listed on the Australian classification board. The best part is it’s being developed by Platinum games. The same company that brought us the Bayonetta series, Transformers Devastation, and the upcoming Star Fox Zero.

The game has also been rated in Brazil recently and says “not recommended for children under ten years,” so it will more than likely be rated T for teen.

TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan will be published by Activision  and will be appearing on PS3, PC, Xbox 360, PS4, and XB1.

What Are Ya Playin’ This Weekend?

thegeekdojo.wordpress.com

Hello and Happy Halloween gamers! It’s also the weekend and I hope you are able to get some game time in as well.

If I have time between the 2 parties I will be attending this weekend, I will try and play some Battleborn. The queue times have been ridiculously long but I want to see if I can break though this weekend. I still have my fingers crossed in hopes that I get into the Overwatch beta as well, otherwise I will be playing some Destiny, Heroes of the Storm and possibly some Halo 5. My feelings about Halo 5 are still up in the air.

I may return to my play through of The Evil Within. We’ll see though. P.T. ruined me.

That’s enough about me, what about you? What are you playing this weekend?

Street Fighter V Gets a Release Date. Dhalsim Also Revealed.

thegeekdojo.wordpress.com

The fire breathing Yoga master is back.

At Sony’s Paris Games Week conference today, Street Fighter V was shown off with a new video, a new character reveal featuring Dhalsim, and given a new release date of February 16th 2016. A bit earlier than the place holder of March 2016. The earlier the better I say.

Dhalsim looks older in this game sporting a white beard. He also wears a turbine, but he still has the tattooed markings on his skin, the skull necklace, and the yellow shorts. Check out the video below to see how he plays. There are also some screenshots of Dhalsim after the jump.

Capcom Announces a New Mega Man Collection Today

Hot on the heels of the latest announcement for Mighty No. 9, Capcom reveals the Mega Man Legacy Collection today.

This enhanced collection will feature Mega Man 1-6 to introduce new players and feed the nostalgia of long time fans. It will also feature a Museum Mode and a Challenge Mode. Channeling straight from the Capcom UK YouTube page, the Challenge Mode remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serving as a good starting point for new players, too. Museum Mode contains a comprehensive collection of history, high-res art and original concept pieces – a mega treat for any fan of Mega Man and video game history.

It looks like Capcom hasn’t forgotten about Mega Man. The collection will be available later this summer as a digital download for PS4, Xbox One, and PC and on 3DS this Winter.
