xenoblade_chronicles_x_01

It won’t be too much longer Nintendo fans. Xenoblade Chronicles X hits the WiiU this Friday, December 4th.

The game has been out in Japan since April, but early reviews for the western release have already hit and it is sitting at a solid score of 85 on Metacritic. Aside from some of X’s reported complexity, reviewers seem to be pretty pleased with the game. If you weren’t already hyped enough, take a look at the launch trailer below.

Looks Like The Star Fox Zero Delay is Paying Off

star-fox-zero-wallpaper-03-1920x1200

Originally coming out this Fall/Winter, Nintendo decided to delay Star Fox Zero to further polish the game.

Back in September, Shigeru Miyamoto posted on Faceboook that development was going well, but “we want players to experience in the game by using two screens, and further polishing the level designs and perfecting the tone of the cut scenes.”

The Japanese website recently posted a couple of videos and they look fantastic. The visuals look a lot better compared to what we saw from E3 this year. I’m definitely more excited to play this game now. Check out the videos below.

Square-Enix’s answer to Monster Hunter comes to North America January 26th 2016, exclusively to the 3DS. The game is a brand new Final Fantasy experience with customizable characters and jobs. You can also summon, recruit and level up monsters. There is also cooperative play both local and online.

The Final Fantasy Explorers has already been out for quite sometime in Japan so it’s nice to finally see it come to western shores. It’s looks to be a lot of fun. Check out the trailer below.

What Are ya Playin’ This Weekend.

thegeekdojo.wordpress.com

It’s finally here again gamers! It’s the weekend! Hopefully you are able to get some good playing time in.

I will be playing some Rocket League. This game is ridiculously fun and can be played for hours. I actually played until 3:30 last night with some friends. I kind of regret that right now. I will also be playing Heroes of the Storm as well as some Ultra Street Fighter, and checking out some of the new Smash Bro’s 4 updates. Some streaming will also be happening to be sure to follow my Twitch Channel to know when I go live.

That’s enough about me, what about you? What are you playing this weekend?

Would you Just Look at the Box Art For Super Mario Maker

geekdojosmmboxartNow would you just look at how good that looks. The make your own Mario game will also come with a hardcover art book to commemorate the 30 years our favorite Italian super plumber has been around. Just like Nintendo made the box for Mario Kart 8 red, the box for Mario Maker is also red. I personally love it and it just makes me feel all nostalgic about the old Nintendo days. I will definitely be picking this game up. How about you?

Look for Super Mario Maker to hit store shelves on September 11th 2015.

Capcom Announces a New Mega Man Collection Today

Hot on the heels of the latest announcement for Mighty No. 9, Capcom reveals the Mega Man Legacy Collection today.

This enhanced collection will feature Mega Man 1-6 to introduce new players and feed the nostalgia of long time fans. It will also feature a Museum Mode and a Challenge Mode. Channeling straight from the Capcom UK YouTube page, the Challenge Mode remixes gameplay segments from all six games, with plenty of scaling difficulty objectives for experienced players to conquer yet serving as a good starting point for new players, too. Museum Mode contains a comprehensive collection of history, high-res art and original concept pieces – a mega treat for any fan of Mega Man and video game history.

It looks like Capcom hasn’t forgotten about Mega Man. The collection will be available later this summer as a digital download for PS4, Xbox One, and PC and on 3DS this Winter.
